Recreational Paddling
What is it?
This is our everyday paddling group. Members have the freedom to go out in a choice of craft and can either go for a paddle around the lake or work on improving their skills. We have a vast range of boats including, recreational kayaks, touring kayaks, open canoes, sit on top kayaks, coracles and SUP's. This also covers the many trips we do throughout the year, whether they are local short trips, or whole day trips. We hope to further peoples development in paddlesports through changing the environment and giving people opportunities they haven't had before.
Who can participate?
This is open to anyone who wants to get in a boat. Club members come down regularly to paddle and improve their skills, and if you book onto one of our taster sessions, this is more than likely the group you will join in with.
What are sessions like?
We are lucky to have multiple coaches which makes for a good variety in our sessions. There is the option to just go for a gentle paddle around the lake or spend the time learning/practicing skills. We use this sessions as well to have fun in the coracles, practice rescue skills or if the weather permits try out something different like canoe sailing
