Trentham/Runcorn Hasler – 2017
Sunday 6th August 2017
All races will take place on the River Weaver starting and finishing at Runcorn Canoe Club (The Boathouse, Cholmondeley Rd, Runcorn WA7 4XT). Located just half a mile from M56 J12 (OS Ref 526798) and signposted ‘Runcorn Rowing Club’ from the motorway.
The race will qualify for NW Regional Hasler Points and replaces the Trentham Hasler with the kind support of Runcorn Canoe Club.
Divisions 1- 9 singles; 1-9 doubles, Fun Race* & Junior Lightning race?**.(*Fun Race for all non racing style kayaks and canoes. **Lightning Race for U12’s in Lightning class boats)
Divisions 1, 2, 3: 12 miles (1 portage)
Divisions 4, 5, 6: 8 miles (no portage)
Divisions 7, 8, 9: 4 miles (no portage)
Lightning Junior Race: 2000m (no portage)
Fun Race (subject to entries): 2000m (no portage)
All courses are on slow moving river / navigation canal.
Divisions 1 – 9 £6.00 per seat (£1 discount for under-18’s)
Lightning Race & Fun Race £2.50 per seat
Evidence of British Canoeing Membership required with entry. British Canoeing day tickets available for non Members @ £5 (Div. 7 – 9 only). British Canoeing Membership not required for Fun Race and Lightning Race.
The race will be run under the rules of British Canoeing and the British Canoeing Marathon Racing Committee.

Check-in: 09:30 – 11:30
Starts: 12:00 prompt (~13:45 for Fun Race & Lightning’s)
Prize Giving: ~14:15
Certificates available to all on request. Medals will be awarded subject to numbers on the following basis: 2 to 3 class entries 1st place only; 4 to 5 class entries 1st and 2nd place only; >5 class entries 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Plus prizes for top senior, C1, C2, junior and woman/girl subject to numbers.

Limited refreshments will be available including tea/coffee, cake and bacon baps (we hope!)
Canoeing and Kayaking are assumed-risk water-contact sports. Participation in these sports carries an inherent risk of injury to competitors and damage to property.
